Bible... Truth... Today Notes...

Today's notes from the message at church seem to go on and on... I have much to ponder in the upcoming week! Church is so refreshing to the spirit! We are so BLESSED to have the freedom to worship and receive a God inspired message on Sunday mornings.

I will share some of my notes with you... Dave is still trying to get home from Dallas!! He missed his flight last night so he flew out this morning. He landed in Philly around noon and his truck is in Harrisburg so he needed a flight from Philly to Harrisburg which he had but for some reason it got canceled, they were trying to get him to wait until four twenty tomorrow afternoon to fly from Philly to Harrisburg!!! He was an hour from home!! He tried to get a rental car to Harrisburg for the truck but they were all sold out! He got a train now. He passed the shop awhile ago on the train on his way to Harrisburg! He is now getting taxied to the airport in Harrisburg from the train station!! I bet he will make sure not to miss a flight ever again!!...:)

It is also raining here today very hard. We have some flooding. I texted him and told him I'm so glad I don't have to trade places with him...:) I would also have hated to miss church today but we take what we get and make the best out of every situation I guess...?

Today's Devotions were on the book of Jonah and how God uses the good and the bad in our lives for our own good. The Blessings and the Trials both. "Sometimes we miss the blessings by not excepting the trials"

Jonah is an amazing story!

Jonah was so mad and bitter that God wanted to save the Ninavites! He spent three days in a fishes belly and he was still "pouting" once he had done God's work! Are we so blind?? Like Jonah we to have a nature to be selfish and not care about the lost and dying world around us!

The message notes I took... It was a message on "Our Bible"  "What does it mean to us?"

Life's evening sun is sinking fast!! Titus was the chapters that went along with this message.

What is my story?? What is my song?? Is it popular?? Well received?? Easy to tell??

It is so much easier these days to gain knowledge. We have Internet to do the work for us. It is also that much easier to be deceived. Go to the Bible. It always stands TRUE!

We run to and fro... Always learning yet never growing in the knowledge of God. He is waiting for us to find him as we run to and fro. He is here all along!! Bible stands TRUE!!

Standing for the truth is not popular.

If we are ever in want, ever in need, the Bible always has scripture verses that go along with what we are going through. We can read a verse one time and later on it might have a whole new meaning to us depending on our life situation right then. It's always ALIVE! In the Kings we read of how generations have come and generations have gone but the word of God stands TRUE forever!


Atheist don't believe it.

Critics pick it apart.

It's always been true and always will be, we NEED TO believe it as TRUE!... Our Bibles!

If we love the Lord he has work for us no matter where we are in life. If we chose to stand for truth we will be tried and tested many times!

Jesus says "drink of my Living Water and you shall never thirst... Seek out that "Living Water"
Our Bibles are a "Fresh Fountain of Water"

Go seek the truth out. Don't wait for others to do it for you. Every believer needs to detect false teaching. How do we determine what is truth and what is not?? Is it watered down truth??
"Wherever the truth is being proclaimed, the truth is being attacked" (by the enemy, who hates the truth) When we detach from the truth and Christ we become very vulnerable! Thank God that he prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemy! The victory is already won!!

Christianity = Conflict (It's being attacked)
Do we give up??  What about the prayers and the needs that are being met?? What about the behind the scenes stuff that goes on?? What about the Blessing of being a part of the family of God??
What about Heaven and all it's beauty?? Our "one thousand hills" God!! Is this not enough to stand strong??

Every day is a clean sheet of paper that God gives us. What will your chapter be today??  Consider it a BLESSING to serve the one true God!!

What we believe as truth sets the standards of our lives. We live by it. What we believe is very important.... To lay down our defense and not face the enemy head on we would surly be laying down our Armor... Read about the Armor of God in Ephesians chapter six.

2 Timothy 1:8-10 "Not ashamed" The very core of our being will spend eternity somewhere. Love the Lord our God with all our EFFORT, STRENGTH, ENERGY...All we got!!

So much information available on anything under the sun these days... But is it TRUTH?? Do we believe it?? It's quick! It's easy!! We don't have time to go to the "Living Truth" (Bible) Technology is the thief of our time. We need those phones!! We will turn the car around in a blink if we left the phone behind! Do we go out of our way for our Bibles?? Which is more valuable?? What do we really rely on?? As soon as we have a free pocket in the morning we drop our phones in. It's the last thing we drop at the end of our day!

Bible... Time consuming?? Are we deceived??  The Bible will not make sense to us if we are being deceived. Consequences of believing a lie means being separate from God. If we are separate from God we will not understand his "TRUTHS" It might take hours of reading God's word before he speaks to us?? When do we spend hours and hours with our Bibles?? Do we want quick answers?? Do we trust others with our answers??

Try one day to spend as much time with your Bible as we do with technology... "Try just one day"

Truth is not popular! Freedom is in seeking in God's word. How precious is our Bible to us?? What does it mean to us??

Be Still...!! Seek God...!! The Bible... Read it, Read it, Read it!!

Those were all notes!! Nothing of my own!! Thanks Amy for letting God use you in a mighty way this morning! The challenge is huge!! Wow!! Let us take it as a word from God and put some of these things to practice in the coming days... Priority is everything! God needs us!! We have a very selfish nature as humans and as each generation passes we become weaker and weaker at standing up to SELF!! "Lord Help Us!!"
