Are You All Ready!??

This day is so beautiful!...

I am watching "home" a lot and I see it is beautiful there this morning to! Is it the calm before the storm for you all!?? I can't help but feel like we are missing out just a bit! I love the feeling of having fresh baked goodies, a fresh stocked food supply, clean house (it's even a Friday!) good books ready, and plans made to get snowed in with friends and then just waiting for that first snow flake! Oh it can be so exciting!

BUT... we are here and this day is a beauty so we want to enjoy it to the fullest!! The rain moved out and we were able to play at the beach again yesterday afternoon...

Dave has been enjoying his conference in the city.  He has made some great worth while connections. He plans to spend half of today out on the streets touching base with some of the business owners he met up with the last week when he was there. He flies out of here early mornings on first flight and I go pick him up at the airport on last flight. The flights stop at dusk..:)

We do miss having Dave here, he has been having meetings in the evenings to since Robert and Beth are here. Robert leaves today and the conference ends today so we hope to see him more next week...:) He loves to stay busy and it has yet to let up at all on his end!..:)

Today is test day for the school kiddo's , they all did bible memory to me this morning and they did great! They did great with spelling words to. The Little's read. Lots. We were back at the library yesterday and I love when I can hand them a book and say "read this to self"..:) We have homework every day and I'm being intentional about them getting on it and studying for Friday's test day. I so hope they are on a good track and at the same level that the classroom back home is on. Ariel seems to think so but she thinks they are well advanced and I'm hoping she is not slack on them because of this. I think they are all doing well in school here...:)

We have no TV here and the computer don't get used by the kids so it's else outdoors, Lego's, UNO, Jen's arts and crafts stuff or reading here at the house for them. It is mostly outdoors with them after school but then they love to do the other stuff after beach, sun and baths...:) They see big fish right outside our back door here to and they love to watch them!..:)

Jordan is doing great with his morning runs! Him and I have been running to town the last three mornings to get the golf cart that Dave drives to the airport. This morning I did an extra loop to drop off the juice jugs to get filled and I thought I'd catch up to Jordan but I didn't catch him..! I was running hard to catch up to him to!...:) My workout DVD that I was doing at home is getting done before my runs right now to. I need to stay focused because I don't cover near as much ground here as at home. I sit a lot more here! My pace of life has changed drastically! The rice here is a killer to any diet. And the food is just so good that it's hard not to eat more calories then are being burned off!!

Dave and I plan to do a dinner night out with Horst and Lisa tonight. I have a crock pot going for the kids. Chicken, potatoes, carrots and fresh herbs... The house smells great already!

Today is KOMBUCHA bottling day!! I'm so excited! My first gallon of tea made a perfect new scoby so now I have two gallons going. After this I already have people here on the island that want starter cultures to! Maybe by the next time we come I won't have to look so hard for a culture!..:)
The glass bottle was hard to find but glasses vases do the trick... I now have two of these going... Yay for KOMBUCHA in Belize!!

This was Jordan and Dane's catch the other day...:)

We do tend to get a bit crazy here at times to!! Seriously Justin!...

The beauty that the kids are experiencing here this winter is a privilege that we are not taking lightly! We are so thankful to our great school for working with us while we are here! (Linville Hill has open house coming up soon... If you want to be a part of a great school don't hesitate to check into it!) We are so thankful for the team here and being a part of it is such a blessing! We are thankful that our families and business teams back home are okay when we just vanish for a few months! Dave is able to do a lot of work from back home right here at the house and for that we are also so greatful! He is dedicated and up long before the sun every morning... here just like at home! We are so thankful for this hard working man and though I shake my head at his ventures many times this is one that has brought us here and now this place has taken over a chunk of my heart!! I love it here more everyday!

School is now over... We are off to enjoy recess time at the beach! The day is perfectly warm here. We plan to do another Lobster Dive, Snorkel day with Tony tomorrow. The Lancaster guests and some of Dave's new friends that he met over the last few days (in the city at his conference) will also be coming along. Dave loves to spend all day on the water with new friends because they often share in the same interests as he does and this gives them a chance to get to know one another better. I am constantly amazed at how he interacts with people!

The other day on the beach for example... We were at the beach. Some guy was playing corn hole and Dave joined him. So soon they were not even interested in the throwing the bags because they were deep in discussion about the Belize Market and the opportunity here. (Many people come for a visit just to scout it out) Soon they had a boat trip scheduled with Tony. Lobster dive and snorkel day.

Then the next day the guy was here to look at the house and the property here. Now he is a potential MBV investor on Dave's email list and he is excited about what is happening right here as well as other parts of the island.

That I guess is why we are here... Dave has a talent and it involves people! Me... Few people is just fine and when we are out on a date night I'm the one to say "Hon don't talk to those people... They are on a date to!" Then when we leave he says "I wonder if they were on a Honeymoon here?" Seriously a people person!! His daughter is right like him and I just shake my head many times!!..:) Good we are not all alike for sure!

Off I go with the kids... we plan to get Popsicles "fresh fruit" and get some swimming time in... I am thinking about you all getting ready for the snow!! Please stay safe!! It sounds like it is going to be a big one!!

Post lots of pictures for us!! Seems crazy that we will be out snorkling tomorrow while you all back home are having a Blizzard!!... Wow! It's not even that far away!

I'm starting to miss this place now....  It's always so pretty and peaceful when it snows! My feelings are mixed today!... Enjoy the beauty you will have by tomorrow this time!

My dad is so busy giving this place new paint jobs! Thanks dad!! (Aw yea and Marilyn!!) It will feel amazing to walk back into our big house again!!...:)

But... for today... I'm mostly THANKFUL that we are here....

Have a Safe and Fun Week-end!!
