The Celebration Begins...

And the celebration begins...:)

Today was one of the days that Jenika has been looking forward to... She celebrated her birthday at school today. She got to wear the birthday hat and the class room was decorated up for a birthday today just for her! The class has a special big floor puzzle that only comes out on birthday days and many more fun little things get celebrated on a student birthday celebration day!

She requested donuts for her birthday treat. No cake or cupcakes for me to make so there was no arguing here...:) I cut up donuts in fours and Javon and I also put together some fruit kabobs.

Jen was delighted to see us coming with her treat. We all sang happy birthday to her then she got to pass out her treat...:) She even snuck a treat to her brothers in there classrooms...:)

This is where she spends almost seven hours on every week day! We miss her at home many days but she loves it here and we are thrilled that she is learning and growing in this great classroom setting...:)
She loves her classroom, teacher and school friends!

Her birthday is on Sunday but because we have plans on that day we are celebrating her birthday tomorrow evening with my family. We are inviting them for burgers and birthday cake. Jen wanted to decorate her own cake this year... Again why would I argue with that?? I got her icing and other goodies that she will be using... Could get interesting yet...:)

The breeze has turned so ever COLD here! I wanted to work outside in the yard yesterday but hoped it would warm up first! Javon and I cleaned the basement real good and also the upstairs floor of the house. It was still so cold after lunch so I started a movie for him and I went out despite the cold! I had on a hood and got the trimming, mowing and blowing done. (No leaves here though!! Yay!!!:))

Last evening was our Chiropractor night and we made it home early (some nights we wait more then an hour for our turn!)  I made pumpkin pies yet after we got home last evening, it made for a wonderful aroma in the house at bedtime...:) I'm going to try to hide one or two for the party tomorrow evening but my guys are nuts with these pies around! I have enough of pumpkin to do one more batch yet this season... I have a few pumpkins on the porch for decoration that I might need to can yet sometime. I put some pumpkin in sloppy joe the other day! It is supposed to be a better sweetener and make it more creamy? I didn't eat any but I couldn't really see a difference?

It was also haircut night for a few of the guys... I love how Justin comes to me for haircuts now. It is no longer this waiting until last minute and it is long overdue!  He now comes to me and he is even getting picky about how he wants it done... I guess this is just another part of his "young man hood",,,:) I'm loving it...:)

Today was cleaning day which Rachel Ann and I breeze right through these days, with Javon in school and no distractions (other then our own chit chatting) we can breeze right through. She has her parts and I have mine. I consider her one of my families biggest blessings! for more reasons then one!

If I see I'm going to be late to get Javon at school Rachel Ann will get a frantic call and she will be right off to get him...:) Hasn't happened with Javon yet but it probably will yet and it did quite a few times when Jenika was in preschool,:)  just knowing I have the option is wonderful! She often gets him after school to if I'm out for some reason!...:) He informed me today that she let him do something that he was asking me to do and I said "no". His response was... "Oh well I guess Rachel Ann is just the best Momma then and you are not!" That was the end of the conversation...:)

I stopped to get him at Louise's (Rachel Ann's mom) house the other day when Rachel Ann had him for the afternoon and "Louise" has this dog (coal black poodle) in the house. Adorable dog!! Javon and Twinkle are best of buds!! I watched as Javon threw Twinkle her toy and then he would run and hide while Twinkle went after her toy! Twinkle came back and couldn't see Javon!! It was priceless!! This dog and Javon have there own style of "hide and go seek"! Twinkle would look behind furniture and then jump up on the chair to look out the window (like maybe Javon went outside!) she would keep looking until she found him somewhere then they would celebrate a little then do it all over again...!:)

I'm off to hand press burgers for tomorrow nights party... Also planning a party here on Monday... Celebrations coming up in our house the next days... Yay!! A birthday celebration and New Baby celebration!!... Exciting and BLESSED to be a part of these celebrations!!..

Keep warm and cozy on this ever so CHILLY Friday!...
