Corn Hole oN A HoT DaY!!

Today is Hot here. The locals think the "perfect" weather has returned again! I'm wondering when the next "cold front" is coming!? No it's all good but yesterday at the Truck Stop where we had no water for swimming and no breeze I was wondering at times why we didn't choose a water sport for this hot day!?

The big boys enjoyed the corn hole tournament again! They did it without Dave this time! They teamed up and made there team name "The Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies"!!!! It was so funny as the corn hole organizer called out there name each time!!...:) They played the first game against the elderly couple that beat them in a final game a few weeks ago. They hardly scored any points in the three innings because each time one team got a point the other team canceled it out with a point to! Finally in our last chance to score (score was one nothing, with us losing) Jordan was the last one shooting.. It was last chance. He got two corn holes and one point which gave the Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies the game!! They had so many fans since they have made a name for themselves here by now!...:)

They advanced and the next team they played was against two really really good guys! These guys gave them the same run around! Hardly any points were scored and this time Justin came in and got a few points to give them the game! Again they advanced... By now they are in the semi finals and playing against the owner and his partner and they to are really good! They did good but they lost this game! It makes for a long afternoon at the Truck Stop because each time they advance it goes about a half hour until they play again!

Dave is back! We are so happy to have him back! He had a rough start to his trip but it was a worthwhile trip for him anyway. He left San Pedro airport without his passport! He had been flying back and forth to the city so much since we are here and you don't need your passport but when flying international you won't get anywhere without it!

I saw him onto the plane at Tropic Air here on my end then I went into town for a few things and my phone is worth nothing to me here without WIFI so there was no way for him to reach me and let me know he forgot his passport! He called Justin but they weren't sure where I had the passports hidden. Jenika found them finally and Justin took off on his bike with Dave's passport! Dave is now in Belize City! I met Justin on the way home and we frantically took off with his passport! We took it to Tropic Air and they stuffed it in an envelope with his name and our Belize phone number on it! It was all happening so fast but I breathed a prayer as I handed that passport off to the airport workers! We were hoping the flight would make it to Belize City before Dave's "United" flight leaves for the states!!

It was about eight minutes to late! And "United" with all it's "policies" was anything but helpful! He got on a Southwest flight heading to Huston. Dave wanted to go to Phoenix but the Southwest plane was the only plane leaving for the states that day yet. He drove an hour from Huston to another airport hoping to catch a connecting flight but he was again about five minutes late! He ended up spending the night at an airport hotel and flying out the next morning. When it was all said and done he had to buy a new ticket and it wasn't cheap. His phone didn't work in the states either since he was messing with it here on this end trying to hook up vontage so he was feeling so handicap!..:)

It all worked out and after an almost sleepless night (trying to get flights on Skype and online) and lots of dollars later he made it to his Syndication event in Phoenix!... He enjoyed his time away! We were hoping he would bring "Chocolate" from the states but all he had time to grab was a bag of M&M's that we shared...:) (I got two of them!)

We are sweet deprived here but it's been good for us. I did make a list of things for Rachel Ann to gather around the house to send with Jonathan's next week and in it I said chocolate chips or any kind of chocolate!! This woman and her family are about losing it without our chocolate fix!...:) It's all good but banana desserts are getting a tad boring...:) You can buy chocolate here but it's so overpriced it's CRAZY! And it often tastes stale.

I'm cooking for supper... I don't know what I'm making so I'm off to figure it out before taking the kids to the beach to cool off... I love cooking here!! I'll share some of our favorites with you sometime!

I don't know what I was thinking but he needed a haircut and it is Belize...:) I'm already praying it grows fast!...
