Race of Life... #Belize

It's a great day in Belize!

These Kids are a PRICELESS BLESSING!!
We already did a run on the beach, Jordan's infusion, breakfast, church and lunch today... The day is sunny and we are so happy to see the sun! Yesterday was rain all day. Sideways windy drizzle all day. And chilly to. We did arts and crafts, lots of story time, space buddies movie, games and we were still bored till the day was over!! We are so glad we don't have many rainy days here!

I didn't even let the kids out of the house because rain here means lots and lots of slip and slid type mud!! It comes in as soon as a foot gets set outside!! It does not take long for the ground to dry out once the sun comes out and today already it's so much better and we are so glad to be back outdoors today!!

Church... It was so good to be there. The message was titled "Running to Win". It was themed on "running a race" and it was just so good!! Because we run it for sure hit hot spots!...:)

Here are some of my notes...

Have you considered what it takes to win?
Have you missed your priorities?
Have you considered the harsh realities?

Luke 14:28-33... Count the cost.

Few are chosen... Few are willing to perform...
Are we willing to commit to the command? Matthew 22:14.
Run in such a way that "you will win"
If we are doing "skip to my Lou" are we going to win?

Commit yourself to the demands of the race...

What are the demands?

#1 Get acquainted with the start and finish line. "It's Jesus Christ!" "Heaven"
Keep your eyes on Jesus on whom your faith depends from "Start to Finish" Hebrews 12:2
Revelations 22:13 Alpha and the Omega the "Beginning and the End" The "First and the Last"

#2 Get acquainted with the competitors!
These are really enemies of the cross, all they think about is life here on earth. Paint themselves as Christians... 1 Corinthians 5:10-11
Know the demands of the race. Not everybody that is in the race is in it to win.
Know the people in the church. Take note of those who disobey. Don't run with those that will pull you down or pull you back.
Galatians 5:7-9 Who has interfered with you? "Influence"
A little yeast spreads quickly through the whole batch of dough!

#3 Get acquainted with the Rules
Rules.. A bad word?? Rules as children, rules in school, rules in church... Rules, Rules, Rules!
Get used to it because without rules we won't get to where God has intended for us to go! Follow the Lord's rules for doing his work.
Just as the athlete follows the rules or is disqualified and wins no prize.
Proverbs 25:28... Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down without walls.
Get "Familiar" with the Word of God!
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do the things it should, otherwise I fear we might be disqualified.
Romans 13:14... "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ" Make no provision to the flesh to fulfill it's lusts. Keep away from what temps you. Walk in wisdom. Avoid the area.

Philippians 3:14 STRAIN to reach the end of the race and receive the prize!

#4 Get acquainted with the Prize
Peter 1:4,6 For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for his children.
We will have trials for a little while but the end will be so rewarding if we finish the race strong!
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith, I have here finished the race and I have remained faithful to the end.
Matthew 25:23 Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant! Ecclesiastics 9:11 The fastest runner does not always win the race. It's how you finish that counts.

Hebrews 12:1-2... Let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.

Are you Running?? Are you Winning!??

I love to go to church on a golf cart!...:) The worship is awesome and the people come just as they are. The feeling of acceptance is everywhere here and I have been learning so much on this journey!

We are skipping the "Corn Hole" competition today for a Super Bowl Party...:) We thought there for a while we could call it "mud bowl" but we are thankful that the sun has shown it's face once again!

Our guests arrive tomorrow!! We can't wait!! The sun returned just in time to have things nice and dry when they get here! We are praying for nice weather and lots of sunny days while they are here! Back here on this busy construction site it can get pretty depressing if it rains for to long!! We are seeing lots of progress here but we still have so much mud when the rains come!!

We are over halfway through our stay here!! Time has flown!! We have only one more month! We are learning so much here. We are setting goals and talking strategy upon returning home. For me it takes "getting away" to see how we actually get wrapped up in a "Rat Race"! I don't want to be a part of a race that is only spinning the wheels and getting me nowhere!

Have a BLESSED Sunday... RACE ON!!! THE PRIZE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD PRICELESS!!
