Jordan's Day...

Jordan has turned 11!! He loves his birthday days and looks forward to the day for a long time! He wants to know all the gifts that everyone will get for him, he is not a guy of surprises! He planned his own birthday party with my family for Sunday evening! He called his aunts and let his grandparents know about the party!

Poor guy had it a tad rough this year! We were planning to host many church visitors here for lunch on Sunday and Sunday evening was also our church service of re voting Sunday School teachers and we voted in a new Elder also. So with our busy day it did not look like a party was going to work out this year. So sorry I was so busy Jordan!! Your day was still special and you were smiling every time we mentioned your birthday through out the day...:)

I called his planned birthday party off and talked to him about how birthdays change as we get older, we can't always make it work to have a big party for each of the children in our extended family! On his birthday evening he said it was the worst birthday ever!! He wanted to spend all afternoon and evening at the ball tournament so when given the choice of a supper date with his Dad or stay at the game he choose to stay at the game. I guess the date will come later...? He had a fun birthday day at the ballgame...:)

We made 70 burgers for our lunch yesterday and only had three left! We had fun hosting a crowd from church. The hand pressed burgers were a huge hit! Uncle Alvin helped Dave with the grilling... I have a great Uncle Alvin that has a true servants heart! He also has the knack of great grilling! Thanks Uncle Alvin

I had told Jordan I'll bring leftovers to school for his class on Monday for his birthday, IF we have some burgers left. (If we did I had planned to call the moms and say not to pack lunches) He took action and told all the kids on Friday already that his Mom will make lunch on Monday, there will be no need to pack there lunches!! (me not knowing this!) This morning I told him we didn't have burgers left so I'll prepare more today and bring his hot birthday lunch to his classroom tomorrow. He said..." Um That is not OK because I already told them not to pack!" Um OK??

I'm thankful for canned meatballs and lots of pasta on hand! I'm thankful for cake mixes that were on the pantry shelf!! I have biscuits, lemonade, fresh fruit and apple sauce ready to serve and I'll throw some peas in the casserole mix... "whoopee do" we have lunch ready to serve to 21 hungry kids at lunch time today!! We Mom's can if we have to but I told him next time let me do the planning...:) This will be his late celebration I guess!!?:)

He has grown so much this past year and he is so much fun! His personality is a lot like mine in the area of having to know what is planned for the days ahead. We like to be ready for our planned days and we do not always appreciate when things don't go as planned (maybe this is why I saw panic on his face when I told him hot lunch will have to wait until tomorrow!) Anyway I have gotten used to him asking what we are doing this evening? Or tomorrow?? But it's OK because I like that to!!

Jordan loves his brother more then I can describe!! He takes amazing care of this little guy and Javon adores him so much!! They sleep together and are just very close! As I was taking Jordan's birthday pictures Javon is around us in his PJ's, Jordan asked if he can have a picture with Javon?? I love this one!!... They have so much fun just being together!
They are both the calmer and lay ed back personality here and I think this is why they get along so well!!...

Jordan is very dependent on his antibody treatments! Right now we are praying for his shipment to get here on time for his treatment on Thursday. We changed our health insurance plan and it takes some time to get it all processed.... We are believing that all will work out to have his shipment rushed in before Thursday! He thanks God in his prayers for his antibody treatments! He was so often so sick before he was getting his infusions!

Jordan got a gift card from Walmart, a big bag of balls, (never have enough of balls!) and a pack of gum from us for his birthday. He can't wait to use his gift card for fishing stuff! My parents gave him an alarm clock that sounds like sirens! Now he can get himself up on time on school mornings but I'm concerned it will have Javon bolting out of bed as well... as loud as it is!! Jordan was up very early all Summer and I loved it!! Now the mornings are darker and he sleeps and sleeps! I'm not used to having to wake him! Maybe the siren will help now~!  Thanks Mom!!

His pictures were fun and I love doing there birthday pictures every year!...

We love you Jordan!! Thanks for what you do around the house for me and thank you for being the kind, loving, tenderhearted person that you are!
Have a blessed year!!
I'm off to serve lunch to your hungry class...:)

My baby boy went to Preschool this morning!!! Three hours to myself!!! How did this happen so fast!!~~??? I'll be on later to post his big first day at school!!...
